What Elder does, and what it does not do
Elder does
- Detect a fall in progress and inflate an airbag.
- Cushion the head, back, pelvis, hips and femoral neck during a fall.
- Notify configured caregivers via the Chutex app after deployment.
- Be reused after replacing helium cartridges (about 30 seconds).
- Complement a broader fall-prevention strategy (home safety, activity, medical follow-up).
Elder does not
- Does not prevent every fall or guarantee zero fracture risk.
- Replace medical advice, physiotherapy or home adaptations.
- Does not prevent or treat seizures, or replace a prescribed seizure helmet.
- Act as emergency life support (call emergency services for life-threatening events).
- Replace a telecare or alert service. Chutex Care is available in France only; medical teleconsultations and home-care partner interventions are currently available in France.
Personal protective equipment (PPE category II - CE marking). Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have a medical condition.
