Personal data and health data

The data controller is SAS CHUTEX, or CHUTEX CARE during an active Care contract. The health data of the ecosystem (Elio vitals and sleep, Vita body composition, Elder alerts and history, data from the app, from Aria and from teleconsultation in France) is stored on a server located in France, at Free Pro in Istres. Free Pro is certified as a health data host (HDS) for activities 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6; the administration of the server, activity 5, is handled by INFORMATIQUE DOM, whose certification is not established, and the production hosting contract is being finalized. The service as a whole is therefore not presented as HDS certified.

According to the privacy policy, exchanges on the website and in the app are encrypted with TLS; the link from the 4G band to the servers is not; sign-in relies on a one-time SMS code and role-based access control; access to sensitive data is logged; an encrypted backup of the database is made every day; measurements, positions, alerts and logs older than five years are deleted automatically. Data is not sold. Loved ones and professionals see only what the person has chosen to share, and that sharing can be withdrawn at any time from the app.

The regulatory status of each device

No Chutex device is a medical device, and the website never claims that any is, not even in its structured data. Elio, Vita, Dorsi and Model I are wellness, prevention, comfort or exercise objects: they indicate trends and make no diagnosis. Elder is category II personal protective equipment with CE marking, certificate number 1135260401/OE issued by the notified body RICOTEST 0498, valid until 17 October 2027 and downloadable from this page; it protects the vital areas at the moment of a fall, it does not prevent the fall and does not guarantee the absence of a fracture.

These statuses have concrete consequences for what Chutex writes. Elio does not measure blood pressure, does not detect falls and is not a glucose meter; the indicative estimate of glucose trends with Vita is not a blood glucose measurement. Vita gives bioimpedance estimates, not medical-grade accuracy. Model I is exercise equipment. Dorsi is a comfort and posture object. No manufacturing origin is claimed until it is proven; what is true is that the app and the website are developed and maintained in France.

What the services are, and what they are not

Chutex Care is a preventive telecare service offered internationally: the Elio 4G band with an SOS button, Aria’s voice check at any hour, alerts to loved ones and guardians, the beneficiary app and the guardian space. In France it adds the included medical teleconsultation, separate from the voice check, and escalation to a partner home-care company. Care is not medical remote monitoring as the regulations define it, does not call the emergency services on the person’s behalf and does not replace 15 or 112 in France; the doctors consulted act under their own responsibility.

Chutex Sport and Chutex Physio are human support plans, with a state-certified sports coach or a dedicated physiotherapist, announced in France first; they are neither medical devices nor prescriptions, make no diagnosis and do not replace a doctor. Chutex Memory is a life-memory service. Aria, Chutex’s artificial intelligence, brings out and explains trends; it is not a doctor, prescribes nothing and makes no diagnosis.

Dietary supplements: claims limited by European regulations

The dietary supplement pages use only the nutrition and health claims permitted by Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and included in the list established by Regulation (EU) 432/2012, in their official wording, tied to the ingredient and the dose that justify them. No weight-loss, treatment or cure claim is made; no ingredient is associated with a promise. The matrix of the claims used is published on the website and kept up to date by the compliance team. Supplements are not offered in the United States.

Cookies and analytics

The website’s cookie policy describes the trackers used, their purpose and how to refuse them; it is accessible from every page and from the consent banner. Choices apply per browser and can be changed at any time. No health data passes through the analytics tools.

What this page does not guarantee

To keep compliance clear, here is also what it does not cover.

• No HDS certification for Chutex itself: only the host’s certification is established, for activities 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.
• No medical device: measurements are indicative, and an unusual figure should be discussed with a health professional.

Compliance and countries

The rules on this page apply in the same way in every country served by the website: same devices, same statuses, same data hosted in France, same rights. Two services depend on the country because they are regulated or operated locally, medical teleconsultation and the home-care intervention network, currently available in France; supplements are not offered in the United States.
