Editorial methodology

Chutex editorial methodology

How a Chutex page is written, sourced, reviewed, translated and corrected. The rules are the same for every page of the site, in each of the twelve languages.

Chutex longevity check-up: a person reviews their measurements with a professional

Every Chutex page follows the same method: facts tied to a public source or a truth page, written limits, a clinical review of health content, checked translations in twelve languages, and visible publication and update dates. The editorial team signs collectively, with no fictitious author and no invented review.

Three principles above all

The first principle is that nothing is published without a source: a figure comes from an identified public body, the World Health Organization, Santé publique France, the Haute Autorité de santé (the French health authority), Inserm or the Agence du numérique en santé (the French digital health agency), from a European regulation, or from a Chutex truth page, the internal document that describes a product or a service as it is. What has no source is not written.

The second principle is that the limits are written as clearly as the promises. Chutex is not a healthcare facility; none of its devices is a medical device or makes a diagnosis; Care is a preventive telecare service offered internationally, not regulated medical remote monitoring; doctors and home care are available in France only. These sentences come back on every page, in every language, because a reader who reads only one must find them there.

The third principle is that the website says the same thing everywhere. A page read in French, in German or in Finnish presents the same facts, the same devices, the same services and the same caveats, in the currency and with the units of the market. What changes from one country to another is written as such, never implied.

Which sources, in which order?

Sources are ranked. For a public health fact, a public body or a health agency, with the date of the data. For a rule, the regulatory text itself. For a Chutex product or service, the truth page that describes its specifications, status, availability and price; the product page is its public version. For personal data, the privacy policy and the list of certified hosts of the Agence du numérique en santé (the French digital health agency). The sources are listed at the bottom of every rich page, with their link.

Dietary supplements: only authorized claims

The pages that talk about dietary supplements use only the nutrition and health claims authorized by Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and listed in the register established by Regulation (EU) 432/2012. The wording used is that of the register, tied to the ingredient and the dose that justify it, never a general promise to “strengthen” or to “cure”. The matrix of the claims used is published on the website, and the compliance team keeps it up to date when the register changes. No proprietary study is invoked, because none has been published.

Who reviews, and what the review guarantees

Health and prevention content, telecare, sleep, heart, nutrition, longevity, independence, is reviewed before publication by an identified clinical reviewer, whose displayed title remains neutral as long as his exact qualification has not been confirmed. The review concerns the accuracy of the information, not a purchase recommendation; a reviewer never appears on a product page as an endorsement. A reviewer’s name is displayed on a page only after a real review, recorded with its date; no quote and no “validated by” is written in advance. The scientific committee has its own page, which describes its members and the fields still to be filled.

  1. 1Source. Every fact is tied to a public source or to a truth page; the figure, its date and its body are written together.
  2. 2Write. The editorial team writes in French, the source language, with the shared glossary, the mandatory limits and the availability statements by country.
  3. 3Review. Health content goes through the clinical review; supplement claims go through the compliance team; the corrections requested are made before publication.
  4. 4Translate and check. The eleven other languages are produced from the source, then checked for facts, figures, glossary and the absence of residual French.
  5. 5Publish with its dates. The page carries its publication and update dates, repeated in its structured data, and its sources at the bottom of the page.
  6. 6Correct. Any error reported to contact@chutex-innovation.com is verified and corrected, with the date updated.

Twelve languages, one content

The website exists in French, English for the United States and the United Kingdom, German for Germany and Austria, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish. French is the source language; each translation keeps the exact structure of the page, the same facts and the same limits, with the units, the currency and the emergency numbers of the market. Product names, Elio, Vita, Model I, Elder, Dorsi, Aria, are never translated; French institutions are cited by their proper name with a short explanation.

Before going live, automatic checks verify every page: consistency of the facts with the truth pages, absence of any prohibited claim, language actually in the language announced, valid structured data, price currency matching the market, reciprocal links between the language versions. A page that fails one of these checks is not published; the cause is corrected first.

Structured data and trust signals

Every page describes in structured data what it is: the publishing organization, the breadcrumb, the page itself with its dates, the frequently asked questions when there are any, and, for the app, the software listing with its real price, free, and its minimum iOS version. Three things never appear there: an aggregate rating, because no verified review has yet been published; a fictitious individual author, because the editorial team is a team; a person presented as an expert without having actually reviewed the page. The website’s only person-type node designates the clinical reviewer, on the scientific committee page, with his neutral title.

  • Organization: SAS CHUTEX, with its public identifiers and its official accounts, on the entity pages.
  • Page: type, title, description, language, publication and update dates, parent website.
  • Frequently asked questions: the questions and answers visible on the page, identically.
  • App: free software listing, published by Chutex, iOS 14 or later, with no aggregate rating.
  • Never: invented ratings, reviews, awards, studies, authors or reviewers.

Dates, revisions and corrections

A rich page displays its publication date and its update date. It is revised when a source changes, when a service opens or closes in a country, when a price changes, or when an error is reported. Reports are made by email at contact@chutex-innovation.com; they are checked against the source, then the page is corrected in all its languages and its update date moves forward. The pages that have not yet gone through this method are being reworked one by one; this very page is dated.

What this method does not guarantee

A serious editorial method does not turn a website into medical advice. The points below state what the reader should not expect from a Chutex page.

  • No page replaces a consultation: the content informs about trends and general benchmarks, not about your situation.
  • No Chutex device makes a diagnosis: measurements are indicative, and an unusual figure is discussed with a health professional.
  • No cited source is proof of the effectiveness of a Chutex product: public figures describe a context, not a result.
  • No translation is reviewed by a native reviewer of each market for now: translations are checked for facts and glossary, and the website says so.
  • No guarantee of permanence: a page can change; its update date is the reference.

The method and your country

The method is the same for every country served by the website, and so is the content. Only two features depend on the country because they are regulated or operated locally, medical teleconsultation and the home-care intervention network, currently available in France; every page says so, and prices are shown in the currency of the market.

This page describes an editorial working method, not a medical protocol: Chutex content informs, it replaces neither a consultation nor medical advice, and in a life-threatening emergency the reflex remains your country’s emergency number, 911 in the United States, 999 or 112 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes the pages of the Chutex website?
The Chutex editorial team, a team and not a person, which signs collectively. Health content is reviewed by an identified clinical reviewer before publication, and supplement claims by the compliance team.
Where do the figures quoted on the website come from?
From identified and dated public bodies, the World Health Organization, Santé publique France, the Haute Autorité de santé (the French health authority), Inserm, the Agence du numérique en santé (the French digital health agency), from European regulations, or from Chutex truth pages for products and services. What has no source is not published.
Does Chutex publish clinical studies on its products?
No. No proprietary study has been published, and none is invoked. The public figures quoted describe a public health context, never a result of a Chutex product.
How are supplement claims checked?
Only the claims authorized by Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and listed in the register of Regulation (EU) 432/2012 are used, in their official wording, tied to the ingredient and the dose. The claims matrix is published on the website.
Are the translations faithful to the French content?
Each translation keeps the structure, the facts and the limits of the source page, with the units, the currency and the emergency numbers of the market, and passes automatic checks before publication. Native reviewers by market remain to be recruited, and the website says so.
Why are there no ratings or reviews on the pages?
Because no verified review has yet been published and Chutex invents none. No aggregate rating appears in the structured data; the reviews page explains how feedback will be collected.
How do you report an error?
By email at contact@chutex-innovation.com, stating the page and the passage concerned. The report is checked against the source, then the page is corrected in all its languages and its update date moves forward.
Is reviewed content the same as medical advice?
No. The review guarantees the accuracy of what is written, not its application to your case. A health question is for your doctor, and in a life-threatening emergency the reflex remains 15 or 112 in France.
