Connected sport and performance
Progress without burning out: real measurements on the wrist, a human coach who reads them, equipment to train at home. What Chutex offers athletes, and what it does not promise.

At Chutex, performance rests on real measurements: the Elio band and the Vita scale every day, the Model I wall pulley for training at home, and a state-certified sports coach with Chutex Sport, announced in France first at 99 euros per month including VAT. No device is a medical device and no result is promised.

Who is connected performance at Chutex for?
This page is for amateur and active athletes who want to progress without burning out, for people who are getting back into an activity or want to keep it up, for those who track their body composition, and for Elio users who already read their sleep and recovery curves and would like a human coach to read those curves with them.
At Chutex, “connected performance” covers three things: real measurements, taken on the wrist by the Elio band and on the Vita scale, night after night and session after session; a state-certified sports coach, who reads these measurements and adapts the program; and equipment to train at home, with the Model I wall pulley. Aria, the app’s artificial intelligence, organizes the trends, but it is a person who decides the next session. These indicators are used to dose effort and recovery; they make no diagnosis, and fitness for sport or rehabilitation after an injury are matters for a doctor or a physiotherapist.

Which data actually helps you progress?
Six indicators are enough to steer amateur training, provided you read them over time rather than value by value. For each one, the table gives what it indicates, the device that reports it in the app and its limit; this last column counts as much as the others.
All of them are indicators, not diagnoses: heart rate variability lower than your average on a single morning is a reason to ease off; it says nothing about the state of the heart. Elio does not measure blood pressure and is not a glucose meter; its on-demand single-lead ECG is a rhythm indicator, not a diagnosis.

| Indicator | What it indicates | Device | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleep and recovery | Duration and regularity of nights, recovery indicator on waking, to decide whether the planned session holds | Elio | A wrist estimate, not a sleep study |
| Heart rate variability | Ability to absorb the load: a lasting drop compared with your own average signals fatigue that is setting in | Elio | Read as a trend and against yourself, never as an absolute value |
| Heart rate and load | Heart rate at rest and during exercise, cumulative load of the week’s sessions | Elio | No blood pressure; the on-demand ECG is a rhythm indicator, not a diagnosis |
| Activity and regularity | Steps, daily activity and completed sessions, against the WHO benchmark of 150 minutes per week | Elio | Counts volume, not the technical quality of a movement |
| VO2max estimate | Order of magnitude of aerobic capacity and how it changes over several months | Elio | An estimate, not a laboratory exercise test |
| Body composition | Weight, body fat, muscle mass and water, by 8-electrode bioimpedance, paired with Elio | Vita | Indicative estimates, to be compared under the same weighing conditions |
How does a month with Chutex Sport unfold?
Chutex Sport is Chutex’s connected sports support service. A state-certified sports coach is assigned to you: they build a personalized training program, propose a nutrition plan and, when useful, supplements, answer in the app’s messaging, follow and validate your sessions, and write a structured review every month. They adjust the program according to the signals from Elio and Vita, sleep, heart rate variability, load and body composition; the trends Aria brings out are shared with them on an indicative basis.
The service costs 99 euros per month including VAT in France, without commitment, and requires a Chutex Health subscription with the Elio band; the Vita scale is optional. It is announced in France first and will be available soon: the service page lets you be notified. The goals covered: performance and progress, lasting recovery, body composition, maintenance and getting back into activity, regularity. A month always follows the same sequence.
- 1Starting point You describe your goal, your constraints and your history; the coach reads your first Elio curves and, if you have Vita, your body composition.
- 2Personalized program The coach builds the month’s cycle, sessions, intensities and rest days, and proposes a nutrition plan consistent with the goal.
- 3Sessions and validations You complete the sessions, the coach follows and validates them in the app; a question goes through the messaging.
- 4Adjustments Sleep that worsens, heart rate variability that drops or a load that rises too fast leads to a session being lightened or moved.
- 5Monthly review The coach writes a structured review, progress, obstacles, next cycle; the following month starts from there, or stops, without commitment.
What equipment for training at home?
Model I is a connected wall pulley: adjustable resistance from 2 to 50 kg (4 to 110 lb), four modes in the catalog, Standard, Eccentric, Isokinetic and Fluid, Bluetooth connectivity included at purchase, a six-point wall mounting kit and guided programs in the app. It costs 1,990 euros including VAT in France. It is exercise equipment, not a medical device, for working on strength and mobility at home, as part of the coach’s program or on your own.
The Elio band, screenless, about 65 g (2.3 oz), 15 days of battery life and Bluetooth, measures the effort of the session and the recovery of the night; the Elio pack with 12 months of Chutex Health costs 264 euros including VAT in France, as a one-time payment, with no automatic renewal. The Vita scale, with 8-electrode bioimpedance, Wi-Fi and multiple profiles, tracks weight and body composition as indicative estimates and pairs with Elio; the Vita pack with 12 months of Chutex Health costs 199 euros including VAT in France.
The two other devices are not used for training. Elder is an airbag vest, category II personal protective equipment with CE marking, 1.2 kg (2.6 lb). Dorsi is a connected lumbar cushion, for comfort and posture, 980 g (2.2 lb).
Why does recovery count as much as training?
Progressing means alternating load and recovery: the session creates the stimulus, sleep does the rest. According to the WHO, an adult should do at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week; in 2022, 31% of adults worldwide, 1.8 billion people, did not reach this benchmark. According to Inserm, drawing on the Santé publique France barometer, adults in France slept an average of 6 hours 42 minutes per weeknight in 2017, below the 7 hours usually recommended, and 36% of people aged 18 to 75 slept less than 6 hours.
Some amateur athletes therefore train on a sleep debt, and that is often where progress stalls. Elio measures sleep, recovery and resting heart rate variability every night; Aria sets these curves against your habits and flags a deviation that lasts; the coach uses this to move, lighten or keep a session.
- Wear Elio at night: heart rate variability and sleep are measured at rest, where the trend is readable.
- Look at two to three weeks, not the day’s value: one bad night is not an alert, a series of bad nights deserves an adjustment.
- Keep days without a session in the cycle, and note what explains a deviation, travel, illness, a late night.
- See a doctor if you have persistent fatigue, chest pain or unusual shortness of breath, or if you feel unwell: neither Elio nor the coach makes a diagnosis.

Nutrition and supplements: what does the coach propose, and within what framework?
The Vita scale gives the starting point: weight and body composition, body fat, muscle mass and water, as indicative estimates. The Chutex Sport coach draws on this trend and on the goal, muscle gain, fat loss or maintenance, to propose a nutrition plan, then adjusts it over the monthly reviews. This is neither a prescribed diet nor medical follow-up.
The coach can also recommend dietary supplements. Chutex keeps to the nutrition and health claims authorized by Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and the register of Regulation (EU) 432/2012, whose matrix is published on the website: no product or ingredient name is associated with a promise of performance, recovery or weight loss. The catalog is not offered in the United States, and a supplement does not replace a varied, balanced diet.
What Chutex Sport does not do
Saying what you do not do is part of the support; these limits are the same in every language of the website.
- Chutex Sport is not a medical device and makes no diagnosis; it replaces neither a doctor, nor a prescribed physiotherapist, nor an emergency service.
- No Chutex device is a medical device: Elio, Vita and Model I are wellness and exercise objects, Dorsi a comfort object, Elder category II personal protective equipment.
- Elio does not measure blood pressure and is not a glucose meter; its on-demand ECG is a rhythm indicator, not a diagnosis, its VO2max an estimate; Vita gives indicative estimates, not a reference measurement.
- No result is promised, no time, no kilo, no deadline: the program provides a framework, progress depends on regularity, sleep and life outside the sessions.
- Chutex Sport is separate from Chutex Care and Chutex Physio: each service has its own page, its content and its price.
In which country, and at what price?
The app’s global features, the devices, Aria and the longevity passport are identical in every country served, and prices are shown in the currency of the market. Chutex Sport and Chutex Physio are announced in France first; the prices on this page are those of France. Medical teleconsultation and the partner home-care network are available in France only. The app is free, requires iOS 14 or later and is published by Chutex.
Sports information page, not medical advice: the indicators from Elio, Vita and Aria are wellness indicators, no Chutex device makes a diagnosis and the coach does not replace a doctor. If you have chest pain, feel unwell or face an emergency, call your country’s emergency number, 911 in the United States, 999 or 112 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
